Brentwood zones most of its residential land at one acre, so the houses are big and the roofs are complicated. A typical home in Governors Club, Annandale or Tuscany Hills puts 300 feet or more of gutter around a hip roof with ten to fourteen corners, and the lots are wooded: oaks, maples, hackberries and the pines and cedars that were left standing when the lots were cleared.
